And Pilati recreated Woman
At the head of Yves Saint Laurent creation, the elegant native of Milan is renewing the codes of the Great House.
Appointed artistic director of Yves Saint Laurent in 2004, Stefano Pilati was already familiar with the fashion house thanks to the 4 years he spent as Tom Ford’s assistant.
He has successfully reinterpreted the Yves Saint Laurent style by multiplying the historical references while reinventing the spirit of the brand with a resolutely contemporary feel.
Stefano Pilati has outlined a new feminine silhouette that strikes a cord with women who nowadays lead, in his words, “multiple lives”. His platform moccasins, broad belts and puffball skirt are already the hallmarks of the Pilati era.
