As of December 31, 2007, individual shareholders held 10.8% of the Group’s share capital (vs. 11.9% at the end of 2006).
Institutional investors owned 48.3% of share capital, of which 19.5% held by French companies and 28.8% by non-French institutional investors. Among the international institutional investors, the United States represented 11% of share capital. Continental Europe represented 9.3% of share capital, of which Germany (3.4%), Switzerland (1.1%),Norway (0.7%) and Ireland (0.6%). UK shareholders held 6.6% of the share capital.
The main changes in the shareholding breakdown compared with 2006 are the increase in the percentage of international institutional investors (up 19.7% in number of shares), mainly involving US (up 29.8% in number of shares) and German (up 50.3% in number of shares) shareholders, and the 4.2 point decrease in the percentage of French institutional investors (down 17.9% in number of shares).
