Ma Kadéos: the 100% customisable gift card
With its subsidiary Kadéos, PPR is increasing the number of initiatives and innovations on the gift solution market. The latest to date: “Ma Kadéos”, an entirely customisable gift card on the Internet.
Since its launch in 2000, Kadéos has been meeting the needs of companies and individuals who wish to offer a gift, while leaving free rein to the desires of the beneficiary. Its two star offers: gift cards and cheques. While the principle is the same – treating yourself through a network of 70 partner companies (Fnac, Printemps, La Redoute, Conforama, etc.) – the gift card provides an added extra in its much appreciated flexibility of use. This multi-channel product can be used equally well in-store, for home shopping or over the Internet. And certain models even provide a staggered debit option, enabling the recipient to make as many transactions as the amount on the card allows.
The public has been quickly won over to these offers, as Kadéos sold over 335 million euros’ worth of gift solutions in 2005.
Nonetheless, the system had a weakness: the impersonal nature of the gift. To remedy this, Kadéos has just launched “Ma Kadéos”, the first 100% customisable gift card that is sold exclusively on the Internet. Quick: the buyer can order it in a matter of minutes at home or at work. Practical: it can be sent directly to the beneficiary’s address. And secure: on-line payment is effected via a completely secure system. It is used no differently from a traditional gift card.
How does it work?
You just have to connect to the Internet control module
www.kadeos.fr/Makadeos and state the number of gift cards that you would like to offer along with the amount for each one (between 15 and 150 euros per card). After validating this step, the Internet user gains access to a customisation area that allows him to add the visual of his choice to the support (photo, drawing, etc.) along with an accompanying personal message. Once the card is customised to his taste, he proceeds to his on-line payment and chooses the delivery address (to his home or the beneficiary’s address).
The latter will receive an elegant gift case containing “Ma Kadéos” as well as an accompanying card stating the amount of the sum charged, the name of the person who has offered it and the accompanying personal message.
“Ma Kadéos” provides a new way of giving pleasure, even at a distance, and of marking all kinds of private (birthday, birth, marriage, etc.) and professional (thanks to colleagues, end-of-year or retirement gift, etc.) occasions.
