PPR also trains and develops its managers
The goal of PPR UniverCité, founded in 1997, is to accompany and facilitate the deployment of the group’s strategic positioning by setting up systems to train and further develop the managers of our companies.
These systems complement those already in existence within each of our companies.
To develop a performance culture and ensure the internationalisation of our growth thanks to our entrepreneurial spirit, the managers of our group must:
- develop an overall vision,
- anticipate and drive change,
- build and mobilise collective and individual commitment,
- provide results.
Several HR systems have been set up to break down and divide the challenges of PPR UniverCité’s offer into different themes: “We make use of well-known market players with a distinctive and innovative offer in order to keep our managers ahead of the field” says Sophie Windak, Head of the PPR UniverCité.
From the programmes already in existence, managers can choose to take part in seminars such as: “Develop your assertiveness”, “Hone your financial expertise”, “Value management”, “Steering performance”, etc.
Each PPR manager also benefits from a managerial analysis carried out every two years thanks to “360° feedback”, enabling them to challenge their managerial practices and set new axes of progress.
Moreover, as a supplement to the aforementioned seminars, the 18-month Leadership Development Program seeks to exploit the potential for evolution identified in our companies:
- Seminars focused on specific themes: kick-off and strategic immersion seminar, management and leadership seminar,
- A “Learning Expedition”: an exploratory journey through European laboratories of innovation, competitiveness and leadership,
- Collective management of a project related to a topical issue.
The UniverCité also offers young talents the chance to take part in a Development Center. Participants are given the opportunity to assess their assets and develop their skills by examining different scenarios, which provides them with a personalised managerial analysis and an individual development plan.
In addition, the HR industry benefits from a dedicated programme aimed at deploying development expertise in each brand and company. Programmes include certification in the PAPI tool and training for the Skills Identification Interview and 360° certification, with the overall goal of assisting managers and employees to define their career goals and draw up a tailored development plan.
