Fnac size 2.0
Fnaclive lets you take part in a chat, talk to Fnac salesmen through their blogs, podcast an interview and share videos on youtube. Really rather tasty…
If you didn’t know who to turn to for answers to existential and deeply soul-searching questions like should I choose a plasma or LCD screen TV, then you will love Fnac’s new community website fnaclive.com. Why? Quite simply because the inevitable Pascal Petitpas himself, Fnac’s trial laboratory manager, will be shedding light on every technological subject conceivable.
In the room next door, i.e. the tab next door, the website brings together all music fanatics and offers whole pages of exclusive videos. Real treasures recorded in the numerous store forums. Among other treasures is “Long live Rock!”, a great moment of pure magic starting to do the tour of the web… And that too is fnaclive interest: to share whatever makes us smile or laugh, whatever moves and outrages us. To pass on our top choices, post our videos and meet people who share the same passions.
Everything on the website is legal. Fnac has come up with a real treat, drawing on around 6,000 events organised each year and distributed by video, text and podcast. “This website has been created for us to talk directly with our customers, to increase awareness of the richness of our cultural programme as well as to create a virtual area where internet surfers can express themselves” said Denis Olivennes, President and CEO of Fnac. A lot of competitions are organised on a regular basis to encourage them to do so. Furious tennis matches on Nintendo Wii, photo contests in French cities or Harry Potter competi-tion… the prize doesn’t matter, the main thing is to share passions…
In the blog department, talk is about books, video games, mangas or US comics, depending on tastes and desires. And on the podcast front, you can for example follow the choice of record dealers telling us about their favourites. One example is Nicolas Ungemuth, a journalist and head of the fnaclive website, who recommends an imported 4-CD box set with 77 tracks from the finest hippie era, “Summer of love” from San Francisco bringing together Creedance, Grateful Dead, Santana and Jefferson Airplane, among others…told you it was a treat!
