Supporting employee relations

ligneppr

PPR promotes freedom of expression of its employees and dialogue with employee representative bodies. PPR has illustrated this desire with the in-house opinion survey and two forums for dialogue at Group level.

In-house opinion survey: “What’s the weather like?”

Covering each Group’s branch, the “What’s the weather like?” in-house opinion conducted every two years, measures employee satisfaction on the basis of some one hundred questions common to all companies and countries.

These questions concern issues such as work relations, employee commitment, training and personal development, operational organisation and efficiency, management, and even customer focus. Using this survey, managers are able to gather solid quantitative data, define and implement improvements and measure the effectiveness of the action plans set up previously. The PPR commitments are as follows: response confidentiality, performance reporting, implementation of action plans to improve satisfaction and the renewal of the survey every two years.

In October 2007, more than 56,000 employees, in 11 languages and 21 countries, were able to freely express their confidential opinion. Of the employees surveyed, 73% responded.
