PPR's commitment to social responsibility

ligneppr

Created in July 2001 by PPR Group, SolidarCité is an association that supports initiatives from its employees to foster solidarity and citizenship. It initiates actions for education and inclusion in partnership with the non-profit sector, local authorities, French National Education, etc.

The originality and the strength of SolidarCité lie in the commitment of its employees. Without them, none of the projects could be supported by the association.

Since 2007, in line with the actions carried out and the corporate signature of PPR Group, “An adventure of Enterprise”, SolidarCité commits to Entrepreneurship for Education and Inclusion and encourages its employees to participate in this initiative on a volunteer basis. The Association has long been involved in the field for education and inclusion and would like to reinforce these actions by supporting projects in these areas.

  • “Une grande école, pourquoi pas moi?”
Set up with the French business school ESSEC in 2004, the purpose of this programme is to increase the chances of young people from modest backgrounds, educated in underprivileged areas, by guiding them during three years of secondary school. Under the supervision of two ESSEC students during the school year, the pupils are welcomed by partner businesses for a day. SolidarCité  enabled some twenty pupils to work with company employees and discover their activity during school holidays. More info…

  • Inclusion through economic activity
For many years, SolidarCité has attempted to facilitate social and professional inclusion for people in health and social care needs: enabling the long-term unemployed, young people under age 26 without training and without jobs, homeless people or any other underprivileged person to return to employment, thanks to personalised support. By welcoming them while they are in an inclusion programme, the Brands of the Group provide them with the possibility of acquiring the expertise and life skills necessary for inclusion within a company.
